When were the notes with Gandhiji's picture printed?

The Central Bank of India (RBI) made several changes to the banknotes in 1996. Watermark changed. In addition, security threads with windows, latent images and Intaglio features for the visually impaired were added. Meanwhile, the Ashoka Pillar has been replaced with a picture of Mahatma Gandhi and the national symbol Ashoka Pillar has been moved to the bottom left of the note. Where is this picture of Gandhiji from?
The picture of Mahatma Gandhi printed on the notes was taken at the present Rashtrapati Bhavan i.e. the Viceroy's House in the year 1946, when Gandhiji reached Myanmar i.e. Burma and India to meet the then Secretary Frederick Pathik Lawrence. It was there that his picture was taken. No concrete information is available about who took the picture. However, the color of the new notes issued after the ban has changed a lot. But one thing that still exists is the smiling picture of Gandhiji.
